Unveiling our 2022 Annual Report
With the activities recounted in the ZEP 2021 Annual Report marking the culmination of our inaugural three-year strategic plan, the 2022 report takes on profound significance. It presents an opportune moment to assess the triumphs and tribulations of our initial roadmap but also to pivot towards new horizons. This report shines a spotlight on a special retrospective—a contemplation of the remarkable journey of the FLOODMAL project. Serving as our inaugural research endeavor within the "ZEP story," its conclusion marks the inception of further explorations into closely linked initiatives that amplify our commitment to change.

Established in June 2016, the Zambezi Ecohealth Partnership (ZEP) is a registered non-governmental initiative of multiple partners
These partners include the government of the Republic of Zambia, through the Western Province Health Office, the University of Barotseland, the University of Lincoln (UK), the University of Aberystwhyth (UK), the University of Waterloo, and the Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research.
ZEP researchers and practitioners aim to address two main goals: to provide evidence for addressing the priority health and well-being problems of those living in western Zambia; and to strengthen the resilience of the health system and related sectors which have been further threatened by the effects of climate change.
Steering committee
Early discussions about ZEP involved the Zambia Ministry of Health (through the Western Province Health Office), the University of Barotseland (UBL) and the Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research (CCGHR), along with some associate partners. In accordance, the ZEP Steering Committee works to support the evolution of this organization into a comprehensive, openly accessible, and integrated information network that will provide evidence for health system improvements.
